Track software and SaaS agreements before they auto-renew

Use Terms CLM as the system of record for licenses, subscriptions, DPAs, and vendor MSAs—not as a SaaS usage or license-counting tool.

The Challenge

Software spend is a pile of PDFs and calendar reminders. Auto-renewals are usually discovered after the invoice, not before the notice window. Seat counts and shadow IT belong in a SaaS management tool — not here.

Our Solution

Store each vendor agreement, extract term dates, and put renewals on a 90/60/30-day view. Terms CLM does not pull usage from Slack, AWS, or your IdP, and it does not calculate SLA credits. Request a briefing if the record is still in email.

Agreements you can track

Typical technology documents teams store in Terms CLM.

SaaS subscription agreements

Keep the signed order form and MSA where finance and IT can both see the end date.

  • Renewal and cancellation dates
  • Contract value
  • Vendor record
  • Approval workflow

Software licenses

File license terms and track when they need review. Seat counts stay in your admin console.

  • Document versions
  • Expiration alerts
  • AI summary of key terms
  • Team access controls

SLAs

Keep the committed service terms with the vendor record for renewals and disputes.

  • Searchable PDF
  • Linked vendor
  • Obligations for review items
  • Version history

Data processing agreements

Store DPAs next to the commercial agreement so privacy reviews have the current file.

  • Repository and tags
  • Expiration if the DPA has one
  • Approval trail
  • Tenant isolation

What Terms CLM actually does

The same core product—applied to technology documents.

Analysis of the executed file

Upload a PDF and get a structured summary: parties, dates, and notable terms. Treat it as a first pass, not a legal opinion.

Renewals and deadlines

Track expiration and renewal dates with configurable alerts so notice windows are visible before they close.

Approvals

Route contracts and bids through staged approval workflows with a record of who signed off.

Obligations

Capture follow-up items from an agreement and mark them complete, overdue, or waived.

Vendors

Keep supplier records next to the contracts they sit under, instead of in a separate spreadsheet.

Version history

Store amendments and replacements with the parent agreement so the live version is obvious.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about technology contract management.

Do you track SaaS usage or unused seats?

No. Terms CLM stores the contract and its dates. Usage, provisioning, and true-ups belong in the vendor admin console or a SaaS management tool.

Can you monitor SLA uptime?

No. You can keep the SLA document and set reminders to review it. We do not ingest uptime metrics or calculate service credits.

Do you provide GDPR DPA templates?

We store and version the DPA you already have. We do not ship a legal template library or certify your GDPR program.
